APALTIN PELET

What is Pellet?

Pellet fuel; These are small fuel particles used to obtain energy by grinding all kinds of wood, wood residues and forest residues into sawdust and then pressing them under high pressure.

What is a quality Pellet?

  • It has a cylindrical form.
  • It is usually in the form of small pieces with a diameter of 6-10 mm and a length of 20-30 mm.
  • Wood pellet contains approximately 7-12% moisture. Since its moisture content is low, it has higher calories than firewood.
  • Caloric value: 4500kcal/kg. Wood pellets are a clean, useful fuel type that does not produce carbon dioxide.
  • It is 100% natural and produced from sawdust and wood chips compressed under high pressure without the use of any chemical additives.
  • It does not cause environmental pollution because it does not contain chemical additives.
  • It can be used in all products containing solid fuel used as a heating system: Stoves, Fireplaces, Heating Boilers, Pellet Stoves. It can be used in products such as Pellet Stoves.
  • The burning time is longer than wood.
  • Its efficiency is high. 90% (Efficiency of coal is 65%). Air requirement is 20% of coal.
  • Ash Content Max. It is six per thousand.
  • Does not form slag. It does not clog chimneys and does not accumulate soot.
  • Being a sustainable resource.
  • Produced from 100% domestic resources.
  • Reducing fossil fuel imports and contributing to the country’s economy.
  • It is less dangerous than the use of other fossil fuels.
  • Can be used in electrical energy production.
  • The cleanest combustion system among solid fuel systems is pellet burning systems.
  • In classical solid fuel systems, a significant amount of creosote (tar spirit) is formed in the chimneys. In pellet systems, there is almost no creosote.
  • It requires much less space to store compared to wood.
  • Wood pellet heating systems are ozone friendly and are below acceptable CO emission thresholds according to the Kyoto Protocol.
  • There is no danger of poisoning like coal.
  • For this reason, it can be exhausted outside without a chimney. (As in hermetic combi boilers)
  • There will be no dust and smoke in the boiler room.
  • Does not require intervention from the accident office in case of power outage
  • It saves electricity since lower capacity motors will be sufficient for the reducer and fan.
